In 1346 he was a partner in a farm belonging to the
Cockersand Abbey Estate and at an inquest was holding additional lands in Lancaster from the Earl. In 1348 he was holding additional lands in Skerton and Hackensall of the Earl and was a partner with his nephew, John Lawrence of Lancaster, in the Milnfield in Lancaster. Nota bene: I do list my sources here (go to the page for each person and you'll see links to the source numbers there). However, some of them are more reliable than others. I list them all even if I haven't been able to verify them yet, because even an iffy or unreliable source may contain the clue that makes it possible for you to find the truth. :-) Please judge all facts and sources here critically. I welcome corrections and further info. -- Wendi
